Process
The initial sketch idea
I really like to create scenes with this cozy evening time, filled with fireflies and soft lights. Also, this atmosphere is something I imagine quite often, when reading an interesting fantasy book with medieval-like setting.
I was struck with a sudden inspiration after seeing reference photos for Tangled in the artbook of this movie. I’ve grabbed my sketchbook and fixed the idea with a rough sketch. I love when it happens like that - a flash of inspiration and then an exploration of a scene. So this piece was born!
